Determined – His goal to become a singer as soon as possible is constantly running through his mind. He’s willing to go to extremes to achieve what he aims for.
Soft-hearted – Some may see him as more of a goof, but Haru does have a soft side to him. He empathizes strongly with those close to him, and won’t mind giving up his own time to help others.
Studious – Haru, with the deal he made with his parents*, must keep in the top 5% of his school year in order to become a singer. He’s often preoccupied with studying, and tries his best.
Protective – If one is close to him, Haru is very protective of them, as he often treats others like he treats his sister*. He’s learned that nothing lasts forever, and is always helping those in need.

Backstory:
Father: Yukimura Takeshi (Age 52)—stern, very logical, eye doctor
Mother: Yukimura Ringo (Age 47)—Witty, luxurious, plastic surgeon
Younger Sister: Yukimura Tora (Age 6)—Shy, loving, has cystic fibrosis
Growing up in the castle town of Hirosaki, Haru lived in a family of four. His father is a well known eye doctor, and his mother is a prominent plastic surgeon. They were a strained family from the start, with the parents always working and Haru taking care of Tora when he was home from school. Their favourite past time was Haru playing guitar and singing as she listened intently. Tora, being the caring little toddler she was, always listened to Haru’s dreams of becoming a singer when he grew up. She encouraged him and would constantly tell him how much she wanted him to become a singer. Big brother Haru-chan is going to be a great singer; I can’t wait until you become famous! she would always say. When Haru was 15 and Tora was 4, Tora started to have health problems and needed to visit the hospital frequently. The family found out that Haru’s younger sister had cystic fibrosis, just as their late aunt had. They were told that she would only live until around 18, give or take.
Devastated, Haru stopped paying attention to school and would come back home just after their parents left to work in the morning to take care of Tora. His grades plummeted and he was frequently criticized by his teachers for skipping class. Tora would obliviously smile at her older brother and ask him to sing for her. One day, his parents caught him coming back home and banned him from coming back to the house until evening, when they would be back from work. He was expected to go study at the local library to bring his grades back up, and only then would he be allowed to come back immediately after school.
Haru was infuriated that his parents would leave his sick sister at home by herself. He studied onerously and brought his grades back up in no time. He was allowed to be back home early, and would constantly sit at Tora’s side, humming a familiar tune to her. Haru made up his mind that he would become a singer and follow his dreams for Tora to be proud of him. When he told his parents, they turned him down without a second thought, demanding that he follow their paths and pursue a path in the medical field. It was a long debate, but his mother and father finally agreed that he could attend the prestigious arts school, Hoshino, if he were to remain getting top grades. They also agreed to get a nanny for Tora to look after and home school her while she stayed at home.
Since then, Haru has been rigorously studying and trying his best in school. He’s been working towards his goal, and is desperate to achieve it before Tora turns 18.

Other Information:
He loves to sing for events, but dislikes karaoke.
He has 6 ear piercings in all… 4 on his right, 2 on the left.
Tora, being at home, enjoys making bracelets for him, and Haru always wears them (the six on his arms)
Has a tattoo! 少し虎 which means ‘little tiger’ (Tora means tiger). It’s on his left rib cage. It’s quite small, so most teachers don’t notice it when he’s swimming either.
He loves to go on exciting rides at amusement parks. It’s also probably his favourite place.
With endless hours of studying, he needs to stay in his dorm. He can’t cook very well, so just makes a simple ramen, even though it’s unhealthy. He's become quite an expert in making small, quick dishes.
He loves to give nicknames to people.

Has a part time job at his favourite bakery in place of an allowance. He works only Saturdays in an afternoon shift.
Even though he loves to make friends, he won’t hesitate to lose some if he finds that they aren’t trustworthy people who jeopardize their friendship to gain something.
He visits home at the end of every month, traveling the 6 hour trip by public transit.
He was named ‘Haru’ because his bright eyes reminded his mother of the spring sky. All other family members have very dark blue eyes.
He grows very defensive when one badmouths his sister or friends. His mood can go from happy to serious in a moment, and always puts the ones he cares for before himself. If you’re his friend, he’ll constantly want to do what’s best for you.
